An ethical, modern and effective behaviour referrals service

If you’re looking for someone to take on behaviour referrals – read on!
Vets are often the first line of questioning for behaviour issues. Given the lack of legal oversight in the field it I understand that it can be daunting to find the right person to send your behaviour referrals to.
My code of ethics as a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) means that all behaviour cases I see are taken only on veterinary referral. This includes clients who contact me directly.
I see behaviour cases as very much a team effort. Vets, guardians, myself and any other professional who is involved in the care of the pet in question. Changes in behaviour can occur for a myriad of reasons, so working together gives clients the best possible outcome.
There is no regulation requiring individuals to meet certain criteria in order to call themselves ‘behaviourists’. Therefore it can be difficult to know who to refer clients to for the best outcomes.
The Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) is working hard on bringing regulation to the industry.
So being a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the ABTC via my APBC membership is important to me, so you know you are referring to someone appropriately qualified and experienced.
I can help your clients with…

Do you have a client you’d like to refer?
You can refer a patient by downloading and completing the referral form below.
The client can either then get in touch with us themselves, or you can include their contact information – preferable including an email address – and let us know if they’d rather we reach out first.
Fancy a chat about behaviour referrals or a case you have?
Whether you have a case in mind or just want to learn more about my behaviour services, I’d be happy to chat. We can speak in person or via video, depending on your location.
Clients are also welcome to book a free video call with me before proceeding, so they can ask questions and feel confident we’re the right fit.
In the first instance, get in touch, and we’ll get something arranged!
