🐾 I’m Naomi and I provide dog behaviour help in Worcestershire, the surrounding areas and online

I support people whose dogs are displaying some kind of stress or anxiety related behaviour. If you’re looking for dog behaviour help in Worcestershire and surrounds, or even far beyond, read on!

Let’s be honest, no one gets a dog thinking they’ll end up googling “dog behaviour help” in a state of worry or mild despair.

And you’ve probably tried a few things already. Maybe you’ve read some tips online. Someone told you it’s just a phase. Maybe your dog is “fine” most of the time… until they’re really not.

Many people remark to me that they had no idea that dogs could be so complex!

My approach is all about working with you

I bring the professional expertise, but you bring the day-to-day. You know your dog, your household, your routines. My job is to work with you, as a team.

Expect:

  • A safe space with no judgement (yes, your dog can sleep on the bed).

  • Clear, step-by-step guidance.
  • Flexibility, humour, and genuine support through every “what now?” moment.
  • Ongoing feedback and follow up, because real change doesn’t happen in isolation.

Why I do what I do

A picture of me as a very young child, sitting in a high chair with pictures of animals drawn behind me, about to blow out a candle on a cake.

Since I was a little girl I have loved animals and wanted to be around them as much as possible. Can you spot the animal drawings in the background of the pic?! In fact when I was very young I would pretend to be a dog whenever I possibly could! Whilst my friends were playing at human families, I was the family dog! 🫣

As I got a little older my desire to learn about and care for a range of creatures grew. At various stages I had stick insects, gerbils, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits and the family dog.

My keenness to learn about animals and to give them the best possible life has never gone away. And nobody who knew me as a youngster would be at all surprised that I have devoted my working, as well as personal, life to increasing the happiness of pets and their people so that they, too, can live calm and confident lives together.

Over my adult years I’ve lived with many dogs with complex behaviour, fostered those that others struggled to rehome, and spent years learning how to meet dogs where they are. I know what it’s like to feel love and frustration. Hope and helplessness.

And I know how powerful it can be when things start to shift. When we begin to reframe a dog’s behaviour not as bad, but as communication. When guardians go from tearful to joyful. When they send videos of their dog remaining calm in the house, making great decisions around previous triggers, or just looking… content.

Those are the moments that keep me going.

Dogs are more than their problems (but those problems can be pretty darn hard!)

I work with people who care deeply about their dogs but are feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed. Often they’ve been told their dog is stubborn or dramatic or just “needs more training.” But the truth is, the behaviour is a message. And my job is to help you figure out what that is.

Working with me is less about drills and obedience, and more about reducing stress and creating a life that works for both of you.

We’ll look at the whole picture – your dog’s emotions, environment, physical health, and lifestyle – so we’re not just reacting to behaviour in the moment, we’re supporting long-term success and wellbeing.

Dog behaviour help in Worcestershire, working in the surrounding areas and online

I provide support for a range of stress and anxiety related behaviour help in Worcestershire, the surrounding towns and villages, and online wherever you are! So distance is no object.

Surprisingly for many initially, online sessions are often just as (if not more!) effective, and allow for greater flexibility, more relaxed dogs, and access to video-based support in real time.

I can’t always be physically with you, so we need to teach you how to confidently deal with scenarios in your day-to-day.

You can find out more about online sessions HERE and how the process works in general by clicking HERE.

What’s it like to work together?

People who work with me often say they feel…

Understood, not judged

Supported, not overwhelmed

Empowered, not told what to do

They also describe feeling closer to their dog, more in control of their situation, and far less alone.

Sound like the kind of support you’ve been looking for?

“Life is so much better for us all since Naomi’s help!”

“We booked the anxiety premium package…it was brilliant! Naomi was great at listening, drawing out Hugo’s issues and helping us to help him by looking at him as a whole dog… We now have a much better understanding of him and he is much calmer and more relaxed.

We have been rehoming rescue dogs for over 25 years, but Naomi taught us a lot in just a few sessions. I would thoroughly recommend her!”

Frequently and Not So Frequently A’d Q’s

Will you tell me off for letting my dog on the sofa or sharing a bit of toast?

Absolutely not. I love seeing dogs treated as part of the family. You’re not “spoiling” your dog, you’re loving them. And that’s the best foundation for training we could ask for.

How long will it take to fix this?

That depends. On your dog, your lifestyle, and your willingness to put in the time. Think of this like therapy, it’s not “1 session and cured,” it’s a process. But it’s one that works if you stick with it.

What’s something people often misunderstand about you?

That I’m here to “fix” their dog. I’m not. I’m here to help you understand and support your dog. That means it’s a joint effort – and yes, you’ll have homework. (But don’t worry, I make it doable.)

What’s something surprising about you?

At one point I had six dogs living with me, most with behavioural challenges. It was chaos, insight, and a lot of love all rolled into one.

What do you wish people would ask more often?

“How can I help my dog feel safe, relaxed and happy in the world?” That’s the question that leads to real change.

What if I’ve already tried training and nothing’s worked?

Perfect, then you’re ready for something different. This isn’t about stricter commands or more pressure. It’s about a new perspective.

What if I feel like I’ve messed up?

Welcome to the club. This is a shame-free zone. You’re here now, and that’s what matters. Let’s work from here.

Where can we work together?

I provide dog behaviour help in Worcestershire and the surrounding cities, towns and villages which can be carried out in person – though a travel fee may apply depending on how far you are. You can also travel to me for follow up sessions. I have met people in local parks and the common to practice training. Or we can work together online and your whereabouts won’t matter!

Even if you’re local, online might work well for you and your dog.
