Walks aren’t what you imagined.
Instead of peaceful strolls, you’re dodging triggers, breaking into a sweat, and apologising for your dog’s behaviour. But reactivity doesn’t define your dog, and it doesn’t have to define your life together.
There are ways to help reactive dogs to feel calmer, so you can both get back to more relaxed and enjoyable adventures.
Reactive behaviour in dogs is really common – you are not alone! So many of us have experienced it. Having someone to talk to who understands what you’re going through, and how to work with your dog, is invaluable.
Advanced package options provide additional follow up and a behaviourist at the ready to answer your questions, celebrate your wins, and review and provide further guidance on your training between sessions.
If you have pet insurance they may reimburse you the fees for our sessions together.
Why choose me?
Apart from coaching hundreds of clients with reactive dogs, I have directly trained many, many more. Either my own adopted dogs, foster dogs or those who came into kennels with no owners to work with them.
From Collies to Shepherds, Lurchers to Rottweilers I have been hands on in training a range of reactive dogs.
Some were frightened and trying to keep others at bay. Others were so excited that their frustration tipped over into aggressive looking responses.
Luckily we have lots of options to help all of these dogs.

FAQ’s about reactive dogs
1. Is my dog’s reactive behaviour my fault?
No, and you’re not alone.
Reactivity is complex and can develop for many reasons: genetics, lack of appropriate socialisation or inappropriate socialisation experiences, trauma or previous bad experiences. The list goes on!
What does matter is what happens next. With the right support, both you and your dog can feel better.
2. Can reactive dogs get better?
Yes! Whilst there is no quick fix or cure, the right approach can make a world of difference.
My approach to reactive dog training focuses on helping your dog to feel safe, and teaching them calmer responses to their triggers at a pace that works for them.
3. Do you offer in-person or online support for reactive dogs?
I offer both online and in person support depending on your location and you and your dog’s needs.
Many clients are pleasantly surprised by how effective online support for reactive dogs can be – especially if your dog may struggle with the presence of a stranger. You can find out more about online consults HERE.
4. How does the consultation process actually work?
If you’d like to know more about the process, what the consultation involves, more information about what a vet referral will entail, then I have some pages you can refer to HERE.
