Life with an anxious dog isn’t always easy
Are you worried about your anxious dog? Maybe you feel your dog could be happier. Is their stressed out behaviour causing friction?
Behaviour issues can come in a range of forms, from resource guarding to noise phobia to barking at your visitors and many more.
Living with a fretful, anxious dog can be exhausting, emotional and, at times, frustrating or lonely. Not everyone understands your dog’s needs.
You might feel like you’re walking on eggshells trying to predict and avoid the next trigger. Feeling helpless when your dog struggles no matter what you try. You might have been told to ignore the behaviour or that you should “be more firm”. But it’s not working.
Your dog isn’t a bad dog, they just get overwhelmed at times. You wish people could see your dog’s best bits!
I’ve worked with so many guardians in your shoes. There is a way forward. With effective, kind, personalised support, we can help your dog feel safer, calmer, and more able to cope with the world around them – and help you breathe a little easier too.

Why remote training works so well, especially for a stressed or anxious dog
You might be wondering if online behaviour support could be a good option; many dog guardians find it’s the best way to help their dog.
When your dog struggles with visitors or changes to their environment, having a stranger arrive in-person can actually make things worse, or give a false picture of how they usually behave.
With remote sessions, your dog can stay relaxed in their own home, and I get to see their real behaviour, without outside pressure. Read more HERE.
It also means:
No travel stress, or cleaning the house
Easier scheduling, and no waiting for someone local
Clear video-based coaching and support, just like in-person
You don’t need to be tech savvy, either. If you can use Zoom or a phone camera, we’re good to go – and I’ll talk you through everything.
And of course, if in-person support is a better fit, we can arrange that too. Just note that travel charges may apply depending on your location.
So what’s the process?

FAQs
1. What causes behaviour problems in dogs
There’s rarely just one cause. Behaviour issues often come from a mix of factors. These might include genetics, early life experiences (or lack of them), trauma, illness, pain, or even changes in routine or household dynamics.
Whatever the cause, it’s not about blame. Maybe you have a naturally anxious dog. Maybe they have had trauma. Perhaps they are over-excitable. My role is to help uncover what’s driving your dog’s behaviour, and create a plan that helps you both move forward with more understanding and confidence.
2. Can an over-boisterous or anxious dog just “get over it”? Is it just a phase?
Some young dogs do go through impulsive or fear periods. But what they experience during that time can shape how they cope as adults.
That’s why it’s worth stepping in early. With the right support, you can prevent anxiety and other challenging coping strategies from becoming more ingrained, and help your dog feel safer and more resilient sooner.
Even if your dog has been struggling for a while, it’s never too late to help them feel better, and to show them that you’ve got their back when things get tough.
3. Is this programme in person or online?
Effective behaviour support can absolutely be delivered online – and for many anxious dogs, it’s the best option.
Remote sessions mean your dog can stay calm in their own home, without the stress of a visitor or a car journey. It also gives me the chance to observe their real behaviour, not just how they act when someone new is around.
Many people are surprised by how effective it is, especially for those first foundation sessions, and I’ll guide you through every step, so you don’t need to be tech-savvy. You can read more HERE.
If in-person support is a better fit for you and your dog, that’s absolutely possible too (travel charges may apply).
4. How does the process work?
