Dog reading a book of reviewsI have been so lucky to work with the best pet guardians!

Read the reviews below to hear some of what they have to say after sharing their training journey with me;

Naomi has been brilliant at listening to our needs and helping us to understand our dog Blue’s separation anxiety. We chose Naomi’s separation anxiety package because we just couldn’t leave Blue home alone without him stressing, howling and at worst scratching at the doors. Naomi gave us a bespoke plan for Blue that we followed over the weeks, with consistency and patients we can finally leave Blue resting and happy for nearly an hour. Blue is still a work in progress, but I don’t know where we would be without Naomi’s help.

Naomi has been fantastic at helping us work on our pup’s separation anxiety. Due to him having lots of health issues as a puppy we weren’t able to leave him alone initially, and therefore when we tried to attempt small absences it became apparent he had separation anxiety. We tried all the little tricks you read about online and all the ‘dog pheromones’ that are supposed to help, but without any success. Since working with Naomi, our dog has developed confidence and resilience when being alone. This is still a work in progress and we are continuing to work with Naomi – but he has came so far already. He can now handle 1hr absences easily, and is able to bounce back more quickly from setbacks. Both me and my husband highly recommend working with Naomi, and have found her to be a huge support, both for our dog and also for us – dealing with any dog anxiety can be really stressful!

Naomi at WeTeachPets is absolutely amazing!

We contacted her just over a year ago and explained that we needed someone to help us re-build our dog’s confidence due to recently suffering an unexpected bereavement that had really impacted us all.

Our boy had sadly become fearful, reactive and completely unsettled day to day.

With the incredible help of WeTeachPets we have gone from him being unable to leave the house without panicking, barking, and crying at all sorts of triggers; to loving his walks both on and offlead, walking calmly past other people and dogs, and even calmly greeting new people!

Naomi has helped us to have calmer car journeys and we’ve recently even managed a really successful vet appointment where our boy greeted the vet with an excited tail wag and allowed him to do a physical exam. A few months ago, the vet couldn’t even get near him!

Not only does our boy now completely love life and cope so much better in challenging situations, he has become a real dream to live with. Thanks to WeTeachPets, we also feel much more confident supporting him day to day, and continuing the hard work to prevent/manage setbacks.

Naomi’s belief in us never wavered, she had so many new ideas and tricks up her sleeve to add in, as well as an endless supply of information and personal experience.

She has been like our very own cheerleader; celebrating our wins and supporting us through our inevitable setbacks.

We thoroughly recommend her. If you decide to reach out to WeTeachPets, you and your pet’s life really will change for the better!

Could not recommend Naomi more . We’ve been following her training and guidance for a few months now with our cockapoo Margot .

Margot was a very anxious and reactive dog , especially with resource guarding . She was very difficult to walk and almost impossible to take to new places with people/dogs she hadn’t met before .

She still has a long way to go and lots of training still to get through but we’ve already seen big improvements with Margot and we can , for the first time see a way through .

We had 1 consultation and 2 follow up sessions with Naomi . We especially found the 2 follow up sessions helpful as it allowed Naomi to come into our house to see how Margot behaved .

Really great experience all round .

Naomi’s separation anxiety training has been life changing for our dog Jasper and us! Jasper previously would sprint to the door and bark at even the hint of us leaving him, meaning we had to coordinate our lives to ensure he was never left. After a few months working with Naomi and her structured training plans that were easy to follow, adaptable to our lifestyle and achievable we are in a very different place. We’ve gradually worked through leaving for a few seconds to now getting a super relaxed dog that’s happy to be left for 2.5 hours! Naomi gave us loads of great advice on separation anxiety and other related problems, was really patient when we couldn’t do as much training as we liked and responded super quickly to any questions we had.

Overall, we are delighted to have a relaxed dog that is happy to be left for a couple of hours, all thanks to Naomi’s training.

I cannot recommend Naomi enough for the help and support that she has given to my dog Mitch and I.

Mitch had lots of problems due to late socialisation. Outside he lunged and barked at everything, inside he howled when left alone. Mitch was attached to my partner, they were best mates but my partner died suddenly.

Desperate for help, I employed dog trainers who used harsh abusive out of date methods including water sprays, collar tugs etc. This only made Mitch’s behaviour worse. I was told by these so-called professionals “your dog’s got problems”!

I was at my wits end!

Finally, I found Naomi who is a qualified clinical animal behaviourist. What a difference!!!! Naomi wrote up a full report on Mitch and the training began again with patience and kindness to increase his confidence and set him up for success to help him make better choices by reading his body language.

I am so glad I didn’t give up on him as he is such a lovely dog. Until I met Naomi I had felt like a failure with my dog, after watching numerous TV programmes about dog training, with hours of such heavily edited footage that it made everything look like it should have been so easy.

Never give up with your pets, there is always hope. Naomi gave us that hope. She has changed our lives!

Absolutely amazing experience. Highly recommend. Our border collie suffers bad with anxiety but since approaching we teach pets we have managed to find a way of helping our boy. Could not have done it without the help of Naomi. Thank you so much

Naomi was absolutely incredible with our husky Bella! We discussed a number of issues we were encountering with her and the communication and quality of the training was second to none. We had the opportunity to keep in contact with her at all times and had two catch up calls after our initial consultation that were times that suited us best. She provided handouts with important information and gave us focuses to work on each week too! I cannot say enough good things about Naomi, above all she is a lovely, wonderful person and felt like a friend throughout it all. We will stay in contact for sure. All our love, Jessica, Amanda, Clayton and Bella.

Naomi was incredible to put it short! From the second we got referred we teach pets were efficient with emailing me and sorting out a plan. We started with a dog who was reactive at anything and everything we walked past, bikes, dogs, people. Our dog used to lunge and bark ridiculously non stop. Through the consultation and 2 hours of follow up sessions, our dog now walks nicely and can walk next to strangers with no reaction. We can walk near dogs with no reaction. We have a new dog and it’s all thanks to Naomi. I would reccomend her 10000%.The communication was spot on too.

Naomi has been fantastic! We were having problems with our Border Collie and I thought because of where we live we were beyond help. I then found Naomi and discovered she could work with us entirely virtually so we sorted the details and began working together. Her guidance was easy to follow and the reports we got after each session were a huge help to look back on. Bailey responded very well to the training and is now like a different dog! We still have work to do but we now feel confident to continue with the tools Naomi has given us and we know that we can book another session should we need it.

We noticed positive changes in Marlowe’s behavior within the first 24 hours of your visit. He now very rarely exhibits the aggressive behavior, which was the main reason for us calling you. When he does show signs of it, we implement your suggestions and the behavior stops almost immediately. For the most part, we are amazed at his quick turnaround and feel you have been a miracle worker!

Read on for more reviews, or if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch! I’d love to hear more about your own pet’s experiences and see how I can help you. I pride myself on not just my academic and professional experience but on my own personal experiences of living with pets with behaviour issues. I have a good idea of what you are going through and would be happy to help.

We consulted Naomi recently regarding our English Springer Spaniel, Druid, who had started becoming aggressive towards our other dogs and ourselves. Naomi’s support and advice were invaluable and after following her advice regarding his diet and changing some of our behaviours as well as controlling his, he is now back to his old self. During our sessions we never felt rushed and just talking the problems through and working through different scenarios of his behaviour and the possible causes was really helpful, I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone having behavioural issues with their dogs.

We were struggling with multiple issues with Rubi, our Boston Terrier, and had completely lost our way and were getting desperate for help. We decided to contact Naomi for support, we were initially a little cautious about the remote working. However DO NOT be put off by this. In fact this is an advantage. We know that if any Dog Trainer made a home visit, Rubi would react completely differently. Working remotely allows Naomi to study Rubi’s (and our) behaviour without distraction. Naomi listened very carefully to each of our issues over a number of sessions, and followed up each session with detailed written notes which we found invaluable for reference, it is amazing how quickly you can forget what you have discussed! We have a way to go with Rubi, but Naomi has given us the tools and management techniques which has made a dramatic improvement to our daily life. We highly recommend Naomi

Naomi was great with Charlie, our Cocker Spaniel, and had lots of great advice. She always knew how to overcome issues and problems we were having with him and how to approach the next steps in his progress. I highly recommend Naomi at We Teach Pets!

We contacted Naomi about the behaviour of our dog who started showing intolerance of children as a puppy. All consultations have been via video call to suit our hours which has been very convenient. She asked us to send in videos of the family interacting with our dog, and based on these gave us and our children aged 8 and 9 really clear guidance on how to read dog body language and practical activities to do to improve the situation. We saw a marked improvement in our dog’s tolerance by following this. On the odd occasion when our dog has had an intolerant incident since then, Naomi has been available on WhatsApp at short notice to give immediate advice, which has been invaluable to give us perspective when it is most needed. She has also been very helpful with follow-on sessions to address specific behaviours or situations we want to improve. We feel much more informed, responsible, capable and empathetic dog owners as a result of Naomi’s calm advice (she is great speaking to adults and children alike), she has helped us work on some potentially tricky situations, and it is reassuring to know she is always at the end of WhatsApp if we need her. I would recommend anyone have a crash course with Naomi before getting a dog to know how best to read them!

Naomi is extremely professional and worked with me to find good solutions to our dog’s anxiety. You have to be prepared to put the work in but it has definitely paid off and made such a difference to our dog and therefore to us. I would highly recommend Naomi.

Naomi was very helpful providing great advice with our Labradors behaviour issues. She listened carefully to our concerns providing us with ideas to address the problems. She was always available via what’s app for us to send videos on how the training was going and offering further ideas. Our dog has made improvement and we will continue to follow her advice. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Naomi at We Teach Pets is just a marvel! I brought home a gorgeous but incredibly unruly and difficult Goldendoodle who had major issues with resource guarding and fear aggression. Naomi took our family and our lovely dog on a journey to slowly and carefully manage these behaviours. A year on through very easy regular online sessions we have a changed boy. I am so so grateful to We Teach Pets for their care, attention to detail and guidance through what was a very difficult time. Our boy is now happy, healthy and sociable and has become the dog we never thought we would have.

Worked over a period of several months to improve our dogs behaviour after the arrival of a kitten in the house. It took a lot of perserverence and Naomi’s advice was very valuable and flexible to our situation so with regular updates we could use her advice and see the progress. Then after several months it all suddeny seemed to click into place and the dog and cat started getting on and have become best of friends. Naomi was available throughout to ask questions of, and send videos to, so she could see what was happening. At times it seemed like hard work and we were not getting far but the perserverence paid off and the strategy worked so we are now in a much more harmoneous household. So many thanks to Naomi.

We approached We Teach Pets to help with our Romanian rescue dog’s reactivity. Naomi was really understanding, knowledgeable and helpful, taking the time to learn about our dog’s needs and anxieties. She gave us invaluable advice and training methods via video calls – we were able to send across updates and videos too for feedback. We still have a long road ahead but found our dog’s reactivity a lot more manageable after our sessions with Naomi and feels much less overwhelming!

Alex, with their Romanian rescue

Naomi is an excellent help for dealing with dogs with reactivity. Naomi has a great understanding of dog behaviours and strategies to ensure they live happy healthy lives. Using the techniques suggested by Naomi has changed our lives for the better, and I am in awe of the progress we have been able to make. 100% Recommend.

We have been having help from Naomi for a few months now . We have a working cocker spaniel who has anxiety and excessive barking . The zoom sessions have been very helpful and although we have had to use this type of media due to the pandemic it has still enabled us to get the advice we have needed by Chester being observed ‘in action’ and training to be done on the spot . Naomi is very approachable, always emails us a progress/ plan promptly. She is available in between sessions for advice and support . She has liaised with our vets on our behalf. We are moving towards Chester being a calmer, happier dog and in turn we are much happier owners . Thank you for your support and would recommend you to other owners .

Naomi is a wonderful person, calm, non judgemental and a good listener.
She did set up a weekly schedule for our dog Oti to tackle the most important issues and we managed to fit them in our busy life without feeling overwhelmed.
Meeting her and her dad who played a role of the stranger in a set up meeting in the park, was great and taught me a lot about BAT (Behavioural Adjustment Training).
Thank you again and hope to see you again.

Although we only trained with Naomi for a month, she has built the confidence in our dog Narla after she became terrified of the world. She listened to our problems and gave us guidance to train Narla without overhauling our lifestyle or changing who Narla fundamentally is.

We still have work to do on Narla’s separation anxiety but we have the tools to continue this.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

I would like to say a huge thank you to Naomi Andrews for helping us with our puppy Radley. Radley had started to display certain behaviours such as barking at strangers and his recall had completely disappeared. Naomi wanted to know all about us as a family and Radley so that she was able to see why these behaviours had started. She was personable and professional and was in no way judgemental as I had found a previous dog trainer to be which had crushed our confidence with Radley. Naomi restored that confidence by using her vast behavioral knowledge and expertise. I cannot reccomend her enough if you are having any issues with your pet that you need some guidance with Naomi will help understand the core reason the behaviour is being displayed and provide a full training plan with constant ongoing guidance. We found Naomi by referral when we visited our vet but had never considered a behavioralist and thought a dog trainer would be the answer. We were so wrong and Naomi helped us to understand Radley as an individual and not one size fits all. We now have a fantastic relationship with our puppy and he is thriving and happy.

Sarah, with Radley

We found Naomi really helpful – very friendly and non judgemental, when you’re maybe feeling you’ve messed up where your dogs behaviour is concerned. Also if you have run out of ideas of things to try she will give you fresh ideas to work with, always with the intention to follow up and try something different if it’s not working.

I was refered to Naomi through my vet as we were having serious behaviour issues with our lab x collie Arlo. Naomi made an initial home visit. She was professional but friendly. She gave us a great deal of practical advice on how to deal with the issues that Arlo was having. She was not in the least bit judgemental but kind and understanding. She kept in touch throughout the process and it was reassuring to be able to email her for advice when we had a setback. She was unable to make a final visit due to Covid restrictions but we were able to meet using zoom. She has made such a huge difference to our family and to Arlo and we are extremely grateful.

A few months ago our gorgeous dog Dexter started to display some very aggressive behavour towards my grown up daughter. This was always unpredicted. After ruling out medical conditions as far as the vets could, we sought the help of Naomi Andrews animal pshycholigist. We took the advanced package and had zoom consultations and set a watsapp group up so we could send videos of Dexters new training regime that Naomi had set us. Naomi always viewed the videos and msgs straight away and replied with positivity or constructive tweeks that we could make, she was always very aware of Dexters body language and put his needs and our saftey first. We are exteremly grateful to Naomi as with a lot of help support and understanding we are now getting our old loveable dog back and my daughters confidence is growing by the day. The training helped us to read Dexters and our other dogs body language which we feel will make us better dog owners and has equipted us with knowledge to help our dogs have a much better and happier quality of life . Its with thanks to Naomi that we didnt have to have our gorgeous boy destroyed as things had become quite bad that we have had to consider that possibility. We would not hesitate to recommend her. Thank you once again from all of us Sandra Louise Dexter and Harley.

I had worked with Naomi before a few years ago with bonding my rabbits and she did a wonderfully thorough job, taking into account their personalities and giving me tailored strategies.

This time, I needed help socialising two feral kittens that I rescued and Naomi’s initial consultation really reassured me that we could make progress (I had been starting to lose hope somewhat).

Her customised plan was easy to follow and extensive. She’s been on hand ever since to answer any questions along the way and seems genuinely invested in the kittens’ progress.

The best thing of all? Her training advice really works! I’ve seen amazing results with the kittens and couldn’t be happier. Thanks to Naomi, I now have some valuable tools that will help me train my cats in new things for the rest of their lives. I hope I can work with We Teach Pets again soon 😊

Working with Naomi has been so helpful for my girl Khaleesi. Khaleesi is quite anxious especially with new people in the home. With virtual appointments I was able to show Naomi how Khaleesi is without any new anxieties, Naomi listened to my worries as my dog is a Doberman and a very strong one!! I couldn’t thank Naomi enough as Khaleesi is much calmer with new dogs and new people (social distancing of course). Naomi never rushed to end the session and I really felt she listened to my issues with my dog. Virtually this has been great for me as I like I said Khaleesi would’ve acted differently to a new person in her home. Not only with Khaleesi’s anxiety, Naomi helped with different walking techniques which are slowly working with patience and time. Thank you again we teach pets.

We decided to seek help for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel after he had started showing signs of what we thought was aggressive behaviour but which we now know is that he was anxious and worried. He started charging at other dogs as they were walking away and when this progressed to people, we knew we needed help.

It was very helpful when Naomi came and observed our dog’s behaviour. Boris has calmed down a lot and no longer barks at the doorbell and he seems less stressed. The training is going well and he now responds better to commands and it has been a positive experience. We are always able to communicate with Naomi via e-mail to get more top tips!

We approached Naomi as our dog was not getting on very well with our 18 month old daughter. We had previously sought help from another behaviorist who seemed to exacerbate the problem further leaving us hesitant to work with behaviorists however Naomi’s application of a psychology degree and canine behavioral knowledge and gentle approach helped to identify the problem and provided the solutions we needed.

Relieved, doggy parents
Thankyou so much Naomi for the help you gave me with Ruby she is a completley different dog now,
I was referred to Naomi through my vets as my then 7 month old staffy cross was suffering from anxiety and was scared of anybody and anything. She would constantly bark at people who tried to stroke her and back away as soon as there hand went to her,
She was scared of any little noise she heard.  With the help from Naomi through online contact ( which was absolutely fine to do it this way ).  She is transformed, with simple training tips and patience along side confidence building activities she now will not only allow people to fuss her, but she is so excited to be fussed by others, there are still a few she is wary of ( the post man for one ). But she as come such a long way in a few months, the confident building activities are great for her.
I highly recommend Naomi to anybody that needs help with there pets, she is so nice and friendly and really understands, and with the online virtual meetings you can work around days and times to suit.
You can upload any videos you want her to see and she will get back to you.
Always there for advice when you need it. Thankyou Naomi  for all your help.
