I share many people’s concern for the environment

Being a lover of animals, nature, and living on a planet that can sustain the wide array of humans, animals and plants that call it home, current environmental concerns are very much at the forefront of my mind. I therefore wanted to write about the ways in which I try to reduce, and make up for, climate change risks. I take my responsibility to care for the environment seriously.

So, what am I doing to help the environment?

  • Eco-friendly, recycled business cards and printer paper.

  • Other recycled or reconditioned stationary (e.g. pens made out of old plastic cups, my laptop is second hand and ten years old!)

  • I don’t print things unless I really need to, and reuse paper and then recycle.

  • Remote work when appropriate cuts out unnecessary travel.

  • Unless a pet has special dietary needs I use treats I can bulk buy in recyclable containers.

  • I use compostable dog poo bags (not just biodegradable – the difference is significant!).

  • I try to buy second hand training equipment, toys, and work clothes where possible.

  • On a personal level I have chosen to live a vegan lifestyle.

I’m open to ideas!

If you have any questions at all, or any ideas for ways to further my goal to be as environmentally friendly as possible, please don’t hesitate to get in touch as I’d love to hear from you!

I am a Clinical Animal Behaviourist based in the Worcestershire area – however, with the success of online training you can be anywhere in the world as long as you have your dog and a device with an internet connection!
